Why is life so difficult?

My father used to say that life is difficult, and I often challenged him, arguing that life is not intrinsically challenging. Instead, I claimed that our poor decision-making led to our struggles. However, as time passed, I realized that my father’s wisdom was accurate. Life can be challenging when it does not unfold as we had hoped. Coping with health problems, financial difficulties, raising children, and navigating the demands of an unforgiving world can all be challenging tasks, particularly when we face uncontrollable obstacles.

Unfortunately, our typical response to adversity is to question by asking, “why.” From my own experiences, I have learned that this is unproductive since we seldom find answers to our queries. Instead, the best way to move beyond this impasse is to find purpose in each day. This purpose does not have to be earth-shattering; it simply needs to encourage our minds and bodies in a positive direction.

This way, we move beyond mere survival mode and begin living purposeful lives, even if our physical state is not ideal. Now we open ourselves up to the gifts that life offers us and automatically become more receptive to the lessons meant for us to learn.
