Success and failure are two sides of the same coin. Our attitude about either side makes us successful or leads us to failure, as it is the lens through which we perceive our reality.
Our attitude shapes our thoughts, emotions, and actions and determines the quality of our reality. However, success and failure, just as good and bad are not factual realities. Rather, it is a subjective interpretation of our experiences and belief system. They are a result of our perception of reality, shaped by our attitude.
For instance, if we believe that we can achieve our goals and that the universe supports our dreams, we are more likely to have a positive attitude towards life. This attitude will be mirrored in our thoughts, emotions, and actions and increase our chance of success. On the other hand, if we believe that we are not good enough and that success belongs to a select few, we also believe that the universe is indifferent to our desires. Now, we are more likely to have a negative attitude towards life.
When this attitude reflects through our thoughts, emotions, and actions, it will decrease our chances of success. In other words, we are either STARS, where every thought influences our actions and reactions within the follow-up situation or, we have to START over with a change in our thought processes.
The lesson here is that our attitude is not a permanent fixture. It is a choice that we make every moment. We can decide to see the world as a place full of opportunities and experiences or a place full of obstacles. We can choose to believe in ourselves and our abilities or doubt our worth and potential. Our choice determines whether we perceive our lives as success or failure.
